Being a good dancer is a great advantage on stage. But it cannot be useful unless you know how to use your dancing skills for acting.
Classical dancers are trained to follow the choreographer’s instructions to their best. They seek to replicate every tiny detail of a movement in order to call it a successful performance. It is completely the opposite for the actor, though. The actor’s movements must be unique, filled with idea, significance, intention. The actor’s movements depend solely on his/her inner feeling, and not on the purpose to follow the technique.
