Scholarships for participation in the 

International Physical Theatre Lab & IUGTE Conference in Austria

Each scholarship covers the part of the total registration fee of the chosen program.

Selection Criteria and Eligibility

Who can apply? 
Performers of different genres and techniques, dancers, choreographers, directors, actors, performing arts teachers and instructors from different countries are welcome to apply for participation. 

Scholarship Conditions and Policy
  • Each scholarship covers part of the registration fee. 
  • The amount of the scholarship is considered on the individual basis. 
  • Participants cover the remaining of the total registration fee, travel to the program and accommodation during the event. Full-board accommodation can be organized for the group on the territory of the same venue. 
  • All candidates who receive ArtUniverse scholarship should confirm the acceptance of the scholarship in written form. 
  • If a candidate, who confirmed the acceptance of the scholarship, cancels his/her participation in the supported program, he/she may lose further eligibility for ArtUniverse support schemes in the future. 
  • All candidates who received ArtUniverse scholarship are supposed to attend the whole program of the supported project: from the first day to the project-end date. 
  • ArtUniverse scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. The applications are considered on the basis of the candidates background and previous achievements, individual experience and qualifications. Priority is given to those candidates who are able to show their reliability, potential to professional development and clear motivation to participate in contemporary performing arts processes at international level.
  • The applicant must submit the final report (essay about experience at the program) no later than 15 days after the end of the supported program. Report size: 1500 words minimum. 
  • Applicant should promote your accomplishment in becoming an ArtUniverse bursar. Please remember to acknowledge our support in any documentation related to your activities and at any public events where you present the results and outcomes of your study/research acquired during the supported program. You should also use our logo to visually acknowledge ArtUniverse Scholarship Program’s contribution to your study/research.

Application Procedure

To apply for the scholarship, the candidate should: 

1) fill out the online Application Form.
2) send to following documents: 
  • Letter of motivation for scholarship application, stating the project dates, your motivation and reasons how this program will contribute your professional development (about 250 words).
  • Up-to-Date CV with latest headshot, 2-3 additional photos.
ArtUniverse Agency may request additional documents in order to consider scholarship allocation.
